Kara Grasso is Global Strategy Director, Advanced Mobility for DuPont, Mobility & Materials (M&M). In her current role, she is responsible for developing an aggregated, go-forward ambition and strategy for Advanced Mobility across DuPont.  This includes focus on advancing new mobility solutions and strategies for automotive electrification and autonomous driving programs.

Kara’s ability to understand and identify strategic opportunities while developing and strengthening customer relationships, have been the cornerstone of her more than 20-year career.  With experience in a variety of roles ranging from sales and sales operations to business operations planning, she has  a track record of defining strategy and achieving results that optimize the development of innovative new business models that deliver on key long-term objectives.

She joined DuPont from Denso where she served as Vice-president of Strategic Operations.  Key areas of responsibilities included planning and strengthening important and new customer relationships within automotive electrification, autonomy and connected product areas. Prior to that, she was Senior Manager, Sales & Thermal Product Sales Strategy, then Director, Sales & Product Strategy at Denso, focused on FCA, where she was accountable for leading product sales strategies across all product areas.

Kara is a dedicated advocate of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), having played an active role at Denso to lead this important effort across North America.  She is a member of of the executive committee of AutomotiveNEXT, an Inforum industry group that provides a network and supportive community to women in automotive to help empower them to achieve their full potential. Finally, she is on the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Board of Industry Leaders.

Kara is based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and has two Bachelor of Applied Science degrees from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) in organizational behavior studies and human resource management.
