Armando Tamez

Armando Tamez has served as President & CEO of Nemak since 2013. Previously, he held several executive positions including President and Chief Operating Officer, and has served in the Commercial, Operations, Planning, Product Development, and Engineering areas, among others.

In his 35 years with the company, Armando Tamez has been instrumental in driving the sustained growth of Nemak and its global footprint. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association. He is also a member of the Ford Supplier Council and the General Motors Supplier Advisory Council. Additionally, he is a member of the Texas-Mexico Center Executive Advisory Board and the Engineering Advisory Council for Universidad de Monterrey.

Mr. Tamez holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a master’s degree in Engineering and Administration from the George Washington University.
