Alissa Cleland is vice president of Communications and Government Affairs for Bosch in North America, a leading global supplier of technology and services. She also is a member of the company’s global communications executive committee and in this capacity provides communication and government affairs coordination for Bosch in the Americas and Australia.

In her role, Cleland leads an integrated communications and government affairs team that works to build equity with key stakeholders for the company in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Her portfolio includes the development and implementation of an integrated content strategy, branding, CSR, state and federal affairs and crisis management, as well as internal and leadership communications. She is a member of various senior leadership teams for Bosch in North America, including the Regional Executive Committee, Benefits Management Committee, and Diversity & Inclusion Council.

Prior to this role Cleland served as director of corporate communications for Bosch in North America, where she established and implemented an integrated communication strategy, including internal and external content, branding, CSR, events and digital. She previously served as Chief of Staff for the CFO, where she guided internal and external projects related to diversity, governance, CSR and business operations. Cleland joined Bosch in 2008 as manager, Internal Communications, where she developed and implemented effective communications to reach the organization’s more than 20,000 associates across North America. Cleland began her career with more than 10 years of agency experience, specializing in the B2B automotive industry.

Cleland earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University. She is a member of the OESA Communications Executive Council, and actively participates in Inforum and United Way Women United.
