Kristin Dziczek, vice president of industry, labor, and economics at CAR joined Soumaya Keynes (The Economist) and Chad Bown (Peterson Institute for International Economics) on the weekly podcast Trade Talks on April 25, 2018, to talk Trump, trade, and NAFTA negotiations. They discussed whether or not autos and auto parts imports are threats to U.S. national security, the state of automotive trade relations with China and Europe, and the impact potential new tariffs could have on the NAFTA negotiations.

The issues and insights covered on the podcast will be discussed in greater detail at CAR MBS 2018. Soumaya Keynes will join Kristin, Scott Paul of the Alliance for American Manufacturing and Paul Ryan of Global Automakers during the Wednesday afternoon session,  Implications of U.S. Trade Policy: A Review of Current International Trade Issues. The panel will focus on how current global trade relations affect North American automakers and suppliers.
