Wilm Uhlenbecker

Dr. Wilm Uhlenbecker is CEO of Festo North America, where he leads the company’s operations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Festo is a global leader in automation technology and technical education solutions, serving customers across a wide range of industrial sectors. 

  

With more than 30 years of international leadership experience, Uhlenbecker has held executive roles across the automotive and industrial manufacturing industries in both Europe and North America. He began his career with Robert Bosch GmbH in 1994, serving in a variety of operational and leadership positions, including Assistant to the CEO and Chair of the Supervisory Board. 

  

He later joined Behr America, where he served as COO and member of the Executive Committee before becoming President and CEO of Behr America Inc. and subsequently CEO of MAHLE Behr USA Inc. Uhlenbecker then served as President and CEO of Akebono Brake Corporation and later as President of Brose North America prior to joining Festo in 2025. 

  

Uhlenbecker holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany
