Susan Proctor

Susan has more than 28 years of experience with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) including key leadership roles in communications, business retention and international business development. 

Susan is currently serving as the Senior Site Selector Engagement Director and continues to nurture relationships and high-value economic development opportunities within the international site selection consultant community. 

Prior to her current role, Susan served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the State of Michigan Automotive Office. During her tenure, she played a key role in establishing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreements with the United Kingdom, Australia, Finland and the Netherlands.  

Susan has travelled extensively throughout her career organizing and speaking at conferences across the globe highlighting Michigan as a prime business location for investment and job creation.  

She studied at the Catholic University in Washington D.C and holds a BA from Michigan State University. Susan is also recognized as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
