Sam Abu-Hamdan

Sam Abu-Hamdan has over 25 years of experience working in the automotive industry and is currently Head of NA Operations at Aras. He started as an engineering product designer working for a startup company then for a Tier 1 supplier, and then moved jobs to a consulting firm to become a product design consultant using finite element analysis to simulate various design and manufacturing challenges. With the advancement in the CAE field in the late 1990, Sam moved to CAD automation and data management processes, which grew over the years into Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), including digital twin and digital thread.  Sam currently works for Aras Corporation, the next leader in enterprise Product Lifecycle Management software. He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a PhD from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His studies primary focus was on process automation in manufacturing assembly cells.
