Vice President, Global Partnerships
SRI International

With more than 20 years of executive experience, Mr. Marcotullio directs commercial sector business development for SRI International. SRI is a 75-year old pioneering research institute with a rich history supporting government and industry. SRI International (formerly Stanford Research Institute) is organized around broad disciplines and capabilities, from research and development divisions and labs to groups who excel at identifying new opportunities, transitioning technology and creating custom solutions. As a non-profit institute, SRI is driven by impact— delivering unique solutions for the world’s important challenges and transforming ideas into reality for clients and partners.
At SRI Marcotullio focuses on strategic, long-term partnerships with more than 100 global clients annually. His role includes market development and customer relationship management, intellectual property and technology commercialization and new business strategy to transition SRI’s large technology portfolio from lab-to-market and to maximize both value and societal impact.
Prior to joining SRI, Marcotullio was a venture manager with Thermo Technology Ventures (now Thermo Fisher Scientific) based in Waltham, Massachusetts, where he participated in the founding and financing of more than a dozen new companies. At Primex Technologies (acquired by General Dynamics) Marcotullio led research, development and planning for the $500 million defense and aerospace firm that was spun-out from Olin Corporation in 1996.
Marcotullio holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University and executive management programs from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Marcotullio is also a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University.
