Mike Chaffins

Mike is the Global Head of the Nikola Supply Chain where he has devoted the past three years to leading the Purchasing, Customs, Logistics, Supplier Quality, and Sustainability teams in the sourcing, landing, qualifying, and certifying of the parts required on the Tre battery electric and Tre fuel cell electric semi-trucks.

Mike has 30 years of automotive supply chain experience at automakers Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Nikola where he has sourced parts in 40 countries on six continents required in the launch of 30 vehicles.  His dedication to pro-automotive causes landed him an appointment to U.S. President George W Bush’s Presidential Advisory Council where he was named the 2003 U.S. Businessman of the Year.

Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Kentucky and a Negotiation Certification from Yale University.
