Mike Regiec served as Manufacturing Chief and Technical Fellow for Body Manufacturing Engineering at General Motors. He established and led the Global Body Product Interface Department which is responsible for ensuring vehicles meet manufacturing requirements, achieve or exceed static quality targets and are globally interbuildable. From the design studio to engineering release and all the way to the plant floor, his team is engaged in key vehicle launch activities. His department was also responsible to lead integration of product and process for advanced materials and manufacturing technologies.

Mike’s 34-year career at General Motors was devoted to body manufacturing where he has held leadership positions in support of multiple North American vehicle launches. His overseas assignments included roles with Adam Opel AG in Russelsheim, Germany and with GM Canada’s Saint Therese Assembly Plant in Quebec, Canada.

Mike is currently an independent consultant supporting General Motors in Advanced Vehicle Development activities.

He is a 1973 graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit where he earned a bachelor’s degree.
