Martin (Marty) J. Mulloy served as Vice President, Labor Affairs, Ford Motor Company for nine years before retiring in January 2014.  During his role at Ford, he oversaw labor policy and negotiations covering the Company’s approximately 117,000 hourly employees worldwide.  He was responsible for hourly health care management and the Company’s collective bargaining with unions worldwide and most recently was chief spokesperson and led the Company’s negotiating team during 2007, 2009 and 2011 contract negotiations with the United Auto Workers Union (UAW).

Throughout his career at Ford, Mulloy held a variety of positions in labor relations and personnel planning for various divisions of the Company, including Ford Credit, Automotive Components Division and Truck Operations. He served in Human Resources management positions, including director, Corporate Personnel Planning and vice president, Human Resources, Ford of Australia.

Mulloy joined Ford in 1979 as an industrial relations analyst for Ford’s Climate Control Division. He earned a master’s degree in industrial relations from Wayne State University in 1985 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Purdue University in 1979.

He currently serves on the Board of Oakwood Hospital located in Dearborn, Michigan and the Detroit Loyola High School Board.  Most recently he operates Mulloy Consulting LLC and has co-authored a book entitled “Inside the Ford-UAW Transformation: Pivotal Events in Valuing Work and Delivering Results”.
