Global Marketing Director, Automotive
Mario Greco is currently the Global Marketing Director of Automotive. In this, role, Mario is responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy and will lead all marketing activities globally to continue the expansion of Arconic’s Automotive sheet business.
Mario brings extensive marketing and business development experience with him into this role. He was the Director of the Ground Transportation Market Sector Team in the Growth and Market Strategy organization. Together with his team, he was responsible for providing customer and market transparency, developing and maintaining forecasts for automotive and commercial transportation market segments used for BU planning, and supported execution of Key Account plans while seeking to maximize cross-BU growth opportunities through business development activities. Additionally, he was responsible for understanding market conditions and engaging with agencies shaping the regulatory framework in Commercial Transportation and Automotive.
Prior to rejoining Arconic in 2010, Mario was VP of Advanced Development at Industrial Origami Inc. (IOI,) a Silicon Valley start-up, where he led commercial strategy and product development programs. He’s held several roles in the automotive industry including Manager of Product Portfolio Integration at FIAT Group Automobile; Lead Development Engineer for the Design Concept Car Team for the BMW Group; and Program Manager at Porsche Engineering Services, in Troy, MI.
Mario originally joined Alcoa in 1996 as a Product Design Engineer in Automotive Structures Business Unit, where he was responsible for design support on advanced vehicle structures for Ferrari and other OEM customers.
Mario holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and an MBA from the University of Bradford, England.
