Jim Evangelista

Jim Evangelista is the director of research & development for Shiloh Industries, a leading global supplier of lightweighting, noise and vibration solutions to the automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial segments. With over 35 years’ experience in automotive engineering, Mr. Evangelista possesses a unique combination of product and process experience most recently in laser welding and lightweighting applications. He has held product design and development positions at American Motors, Chrysler, Johnson Controls, Magna and Ford Motor Company.

Mr. Evangelista holds several patents including two for laser ablation and another for laminate material joining. He received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
