Janet Lin is the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the Mobility Energy Business Division within Panasonic Energy Company. Lin is charged with leading business development and global expansion for vehicle electrification. Lin was previously Director of Innovation & Solutions Division within Panasonic Corporation of North America, where she led business incubation including M&A, strategic alliances, venture investments and advanced technology projects. Lin joined Panasonic in 2015 and led the strategy and corporate development function for Panasonic’s energy solutions platform covering solar, battery storage, energy efficiency and smart city businesses in North America.

Lin was previously with independent energy and environment analyst firm Verdantix, where she founded the U.S. office and led the global analyst team as Chief of Research. Lin’s public sector experience includes the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick’s Administration, where she served as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Housing and Economic Development. Lin began her career as a software engineer at Raytheon and SensAble Technologies, a company spun out of the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

Lin earned an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, where she directed the MIT Clean Energy Prize, and an AB from Brown University.
