Eric Wilds was named Magna International’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO) in January 2020. As CSMO, Wilds is responsible for managing the company’s global sales and marketing activities including customer strategy and interactions, expansion and branding.  As part of the executive management team, Wilds’ customer-focused approach helps ensure effective support and alignment that yield tangible results.

Wilds previously held the role of Executive Vice President, Business Development & Strategy for Magna’s Power and Vision product segment.  In this position he was responsible for providing leadership and direction to global teams in the pursuit of new business, management of commercial issues, M & A activities and group strategies.

Prior roles within Magna included Executive Vice President Strategic Business Initiatives (powertrain) and Executive Vice President, Business Development & Sales and Marketing (body and structures).  Wilds also spent a year as Department Leader for Engineering & Commercial Business at Formet Industries, a manufacturing division within Magna. Early in his career, Wilds held various sales & marketing positions from Account Representative to Executive Director for several customer accounts and buyer positions at Ford Motor Company.

Wilds has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, as well as a master’s degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University.
