Dr. Mitchell M. Rohde

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Quantum Signal LLC

Dr. Mitch Rohde co-founded Quantum Signal (QS) following his graduation from the University of Michigan in 2000. Since that time, he has led Quantum Signal’s business operations and grown the company through a diverse portfolio of technologies, products, and services. Quantum Signal was founded with the express purpose of bringing advanced signal and image processing technologies out of the academic research lab and into real-world applications, and has done so across many programs and application areas. Dr. Rohde has spearheaded and directed dozens of advanced research and product development projects for public and private clients over the past nineteen years, and QS’ products are in use worldwide. Under Dr. Rohde’s leadership, Quantum Signal has been building and delivering autonomous vehicle technology, systems, and tools for over a decade.  Quantum Signal is well known for the ANVEL modeling and simulation environment, used widely by military robotics developers to develop, test, and validate their unmanned and autonomous systems.  In his spare time, Dr. Rohde is a serious collector and restorer of antique arcade equipment, with over 140 classic machines in his collection.  He holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and MS and PhD degrees in Biomedical Engineering, all from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and is a member of Sigma Xi, IEEE, NDIA, Eta Kappa Nu, and Tau Beta Pi.
