Donald Walker

Don Walker joined Magna in 1987 after spending 7 years at General Motors in various manufacturing and engineering positions.  Don became President and CEO in 1994 and is a member of Magna’s Board of Directors.

Magna has over 317 manufacturing operations and over 102 product development, engineering and sales centres in 29 countries with over 155,000 employees. Forbes has identified Magna as the Most Trustworthy (Large Cap) Company two years in a row.

The three major priorities at Magna are promoting Innovation, World Class Manufacturing and People Development.  Magna has won 4 Pace Awards in the last 6 years.

Mr. Walker has an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario.

Mr. Walker is Chair of the Canadian Automotive Partnership Council, was awarded Canada’s 2014 Outstanding CEO of the Year Award, and is a member of the Innovation Board of XPRIZE.
