Don Goeman

Don Goeman, Executive Vice President of R&D leads Herman Miller’s Advanced Innovation Kitchen and is responsible for the research, design, and development of new product programs, that drive innovation and business growth across Herman Miller’s enterprise.

Mr. Goeman joined Herman Miller’s New Product Development arena in 1980, and during his 37 years with the company he has held a variety of new product design and development leadership positions. Most noteworthy innovations from Don’s development teams in collaboration with industrial designers from around the globe include the development of the Aeron, Mirra, Embody, Sayl & Setu Chairs; as well as the Resolve, My Studio and Canvas Office Systems.  In 1997, the Product Development Management Association (PDMA) recognized Herman Miller for its product design and development practices as Corporate Innovator of the Year.

Mr. Goeman is a graduate of Hope College with a BA in Business Administration, and the University of Michigan with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering.
