David is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career spanning nonprofit management, government service, and the private sector. His extensive experience in economic development, workforce development, manufacturing, and with startups has positioned him as a trusted advisor to organizations seeking to drive innovation and create positive social impact.

With a deep understanding of the complexities of economic development, David has successfully led initiatives to revitalize communities, foster entrepreneurship, and create jobs. His government experience, including roles at the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development and the Office of the Governor of Minnesota, has provided him with a unique perspective on public policy and addressing the challenges facing businesses.

David’s entrepreneurial spirit has been instrumental in his success. He founded his own business and helped grow startups, demonstrating his ability to identify market opportunities, assemble talented teams, and navigate the challenges of early-stage ventures. His experience in manufacturing, particularly his leadership at Dane Technologies, has honed his skills in operations management, supply chain management, and international business development.

Throughout his career, David has been a dedicated advocate for nonprofit organizations. His work at the North Star Ranch, the Orton Family Foundation, and the Preservation Society of Charleston has showcased his ability to lead complex organizations, secure funding, and drive positive change. His commitment to member engagement and community building has fostered strong relationships and built a lasting legacy.

David’s international experience, including his time working in Brazil, has broadened his perspective and enhanced his cultural awareness. This global outlook has enabled him to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and navigate complex cross-cultural environments.

David is a Graduate of the Interim Executives Academy in Seattle, Washington, and holds a Master of Arts in Public Affairs from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. He earned a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Science in Education at The Defiance College in Ohio.
