Danny Stillion

Danny Stillion is a Partner and Executive Design Director at IDEO. With a background in fine art, visual communications and product design, Mr. Stillion was drawn to the field of interaction design through his interests in visual design and time-based media.

Mr. Stillion’s deep grounding in interaction design richly intersects IDEO’s transportation and mobility work. Working with many of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers as well as startups in the mobility domain, Mr. Stillion has helped shaped a variety of innovative Human-Machine Interface touch points and methods for interacting with vehicles. Projects include designing for the coming age of automobility, vehicle-to-vehicle interactions, climate and ambience control, active heads up displays, personal media and device integration as well as a wide range of new ownership, training and telematics projects. Much of his work focuses on enhancing safety and shaping our broader mobility ecosystem.

Mr. Stillion’s award-winning work and perspective have been featured in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, WIRED, BusinessWeek, BBC, Bloomberg, The Atlantic, the Webby Awards, the IDEA Awards, and has resulted in various patent awards. He has spoken internationally about the future of transportation and mobility, interaction design and design thinking.
