Experience Technology in Motion.
For over six decades, the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) has hosted the industry’s most essential retreat: the Management Briefing Seminars (MBS). As we celebrate our 61st year in 2026, we are breaking away from the static conference room for Day 1 to bring you a unique, hands-on experience.
Before we dive into the strategic briefings, panels, and keynotes on Day 2, we are inviting you to the American Center for Mobility (ACM) for an informal, pre-competitive Technology Experience Day.
Why a Hands-On Experience Matters
The automotive industry is moving too fast to understand solely through PowerPoint slides. To truly grasp the intersection of policy, software, and hardware, you have to see it in action.
This day at ACM is designed as an informal, collaborative environment where policymakers, industry executives, and tech disruptors can get out of the conference center and onto the track. It’s an opportunity to experience cutting-edge technologies firsthand and have candid, peer-to-peer conversations about how these systems perform in the real world.
By grounding our event in this physical reality on Monday, we set the stage for much richer, more informed strategic dialogues when we transition to the traditional conference program at the Marriott Eagle Crest Resort on Tuesday.
What to Expect
This is not a high-pressure sales event or a consumer auto show. It is a relaxed, professional environment built for industry networking and exploration:
-
Interactive Ride & Drives: Get in the passenger seat or behind the wheel to experience the latest driver assistance and EV technologies on a world-class, closed-course proving ground.
-
Dynamic Demonstrations: Watch live scenarios showing how new software and hardware systems interact in real-world environments.
-
Small-Group Technical Walkarounds: Get up close to the vehicles and hardware with informal briefings from the engineers and innovators building them.
-
Peer-to-Peer Dialogue: Network with fellow industry leaders in a casual setting, sharing perspectives on systems integration, safety, and performance.
Who Should Attend
This day is curated for professionals who want a deeper, more tactile understanding of the current state of mobility:
-
OEM and Supplier Executives looking to see cross-industry technology applications.
-
Policymakers and Economic Developers wanting to understand the physical reality of the regulations and infrastructure they support.
-
Technology Innovators looking to showcase their systems in a live, operational environment.
Demo Day Goal: To ground the high-level strategic and policy discussions of MBS in the physical reality of current and emerging vehicle technologies.
