Peter Bacevice is Director of Research for HLW and a Research Associate with the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. His academic work focuses on the ways in which organizations leverage the built environment as an expressive mechanism of values and aspirations and as a strategic asset that reinforces prosocial organizational behaviors. His day-to-day professional work in the practice of architecture involves the oversight of various projects related to workplace assessment, benchmarking, and spatial analytics. Past project work includes real estate portfolio studies, workplace planning/design guidelines, workplace strategy studies, and academic learning space studies. He regularly presents at academic and professional conferences. Dr. Bacevice’s writings on coworking, the flexible workforce, and design strategy have appeared in Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, as well as multiple academic publications. Dr. Bacevice is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and divides his time professionally between New York City and Ann Arbor.  He holds a PhD in Education from the University of Michigan.
