Students@MBS Program – Fostering a Future in Automotive

CAR provides undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry the opportunity to participate in the CAR Management Briefing Seminars. The Students@MBS Program has continued to grow each year as well as the number of events on-site organized to engage these students with automotive leaders and executives. These events, such as Inforum’s Executive Roundtable, encourage conversations that allow students to learn about the industry in a personal way while beginning to build a professional network before they graduate.

The students have the opportunity to attend conference sessions to learn about present-day issues as well as given the opportunity to experience firsthand many of the advanced technologies that will be introduced in the future. For more information or inquiries contact Denise Zilch 734.662.1287 or [email protected].

Read what some of last year’s student participants had to say about it:

“This event not only got me extremely interested in the automotive industry but gave me a passion for being a part of all of the changes and strides it is making in the fields of electric vehicles, autonomous technologies, emission controls, etc. It made me realize how exciting, innovative and fast-paced the automotive industry really is. The speakers were impressive. Hearing from an executive at Tesla, an OEM on the cutting edge of automotive technology and progress, made me realize that the automotive industry is undergoing huge transformations. The networking opportunities were also incredible.”

“I appreciated being able to attend the MBS this year in the Students program. It was a great opportunity to meet some other students both interested in working and currently working in the industry and compare experiences and contacts. It was also an awesome opportunity to hear directly from industry executives about their outlook and strategy into the future, especially in the years I will be starting my own career.”

Evan Chodora

University of Alabama, Class of 2017, Mechanical Engineering

“I wanted to thank you for allowing me to attend the Student Program at MBS this year. I found the experience extremely valuable and absolutely amazing! I told many of my friends about what I was doing while I was there and I’m sure there will be many more interested students next year.”
