While the United States has long heralded free trade as good for business and consumers, the Biden Administration’s goal is a “worker-centered” trade policy. This focus is in keeping with recent U.S. trade deals that have increasingly focused on climate change and worker rights. This session will examine the consequences of prioritizing labor and environmental protections in trade.
