Dr. Sebastian Schöning

Dr. Sebastian Schöning has been the CEO of the Gehring Group since November 2013.

Dr. Schöning started his business career in 2007 at MAG, a leading manufacturing technology group providing turnkey manufacturing systems for the automotive industry. He held various positions at MAG, culminating in his role as Global President- Automotive, being responsible for all activities of MAG in the automotive business globally.

Dr. Schöning began his research career in 2001 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT) and then held a position as chief engineer in scientific research at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at the RWTH University in Aachen.
