The 2007 Management Briefing Seminars have just concluded, creating plenty of buzz among participants, speakers, and the media. Alan Mulally, Bob Lutz and many other speakers leading today’s industry addressed packed meeting rooms eager for solutions to current automotive issues. Innovation and collaboration in the areas of manufacturer/supplier relationships, vehicle infrastructure and aftermarket were key areas of discussion.
“There’s a greater feeling of optimism,” said Dave Cole, chairman of the Center for Automotive Research and moderator of several sessions. “It’s not easier, but there’s a greater feeling of what to do—the industry is moving forward through highly turbulent times and a lot of uncertainty, and making good progress.”
