Forecasting Group

The program recently launched by the Forecasting Group performs automotive industry analysis to support corporate strategy, investment analysis, and governmental policy development. Research projects focus on forecasting the business operating environment (market demand, regulatory requirements, and product technology) and associated risks to existing business models, invested capital base, and company technology portfolios.

The Forecasting Group creates its forecasts through an extensive network of industry participants via written and electronic surveys and personal interviews, as well as database analysis. Special areas of interest include vehicle product and manufacturing process technology, material usage, and business model analysis.
