Future Cities: Planning for Tomorrow’s Mobility
June 8 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am
To help Michigan communities prepare for tomorrow’s mobility, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Automotive Office has launched the “Future Cities” project. The Center for Automotive Research (CAR) is assisting MEDC in this effort.
After a series of meetings in April, CAR is conducting a second series of workshops in June. The goal is to discuss the role of local communities related to the deployment of connected and automated vehicle technologies and new mobility services (carsharing, ridehailing, bikesharing, etc.). CAR will also share and discuss policy and planning recommendations with local and regional public agencies. The workshop will include presentations and discussions on planning and zoning, infrastructure design, new services and investments, transportation policy, and regulation.
Cost: Free. Each workshop is limited to 35 people. Register in advance by using this link: https://goo.gl/forms/rH1KMZv4El8dv6nt1
