Roads to Renewal: A Summit on the Changing Automotive Industry
- How Communities Can Thrive
On April 14 & 15, 2009 at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel, Chicago, Illinois close to 200 people attended this inaugural event, including Dr. Edward Montgomery, the Obama Administration’s Director of Recovery for Automotive Communities and Workers.
The Summit addressed the challenges that automotive communities face regarding the overall state of the economy, the industry's future, its impact on communities, and lessons learned from the development of the auto industry in the southern region of the United States.
Planning is underway for the 2010 event.
