Money Matters: The New Purchasing Landscape

Despite recovering sales and production volumes, automotive suppliers continue to face a challenging business environment that involves difficult access to credit, rising materials costs, competition from low cost countries, and a variety of other challenges.  While relationships between automakers’ purchasing departments and their suppliers are generally considered to be improving, these challenges will stress these relationships and require new models for increased cooperation.

This session will build on the tradition of successful Money Matters seminars but introduce the added element of including purchasing executives from automotive suppliers to the panel of automaker purchasing executives.  This dynamic combination of speakers will not only educate the audience on automakers’ vision of their supply chains but also on how automotive suppliers are working with their supply base.
